About
Self-taught Full-stack developer with 29 years of experience building scalable, secure systems. Shipped code in a lot of languages and frameworks.
Deep expertise in security architecture, penetration testing, and reverse engineering combined with modern full-stack development.
Strong background spanning embedded systems to cloud-native architectures. Extensive hands-on experience with security audits, cryptography, and implementing security-first patterns in production systems.
Proven track record in technical leadership roles, managing development teams and establishing engineering standards. Focus on delivering robust, security-conscious solutions for complex enterprise requirements.
I am trained in typography and design, and happen to know the difference between hyphen (-), en-dash (–) and em-dash (—) … not AI slop — relevant craftsmanship 🤣 Exciting times!

Currently writing an MMO 4X game in Bun + Three.js/TSL. It's mostly a big effin' shader.

Ground-up reimplementation of X11 protocol in Zig, designed for multiseat, network transparency, live migration, and per-seat independent cursors. The final middle finger to Wayland cultists and Xorg maintainers. Because I'm a little troll.

Comprehensive full-stack framework for building modern, scalable applications with Bun. Security-first architecture with modular design, real-time capabilities, and optimized for Bun runtime.

Fun Time

Earliest capture of my web presence — the last version of my first homepage (netsurf is defunct, archive.org link). I distinctly remember writing code to update my age dynamically after having to do it manually. Sadly, I can't find an indexed version of syanterra.de that was founded in the summer of '97.
It's cute how small the web was back then 🌐 I connected to a guy from ETH-Zürich, because the volcano community was so small back then 🌋
If you were around in the mid 90s and used FirstClass to access graphical mailboxes… the probability is high that we ran into each other 👋

My favourite game was Glider Pro 🛩️ for a long time, along with the Marathon series by Bungie Software 🎮 and the Escape Velocity series by Ambrosia Software Inc. 🚀

When A/UX sucked hard I switched to mkLinux 😄 dual boot of course 😄
A time when every single move you made in terms of hardware required coding or adapting yourself 🔧 Suffice to say: not everything was better back then 😅
